For a couple years we have been selling our NA Miata Hood Vents and NB Miata Hood Vents. What sets our design apart for the rest is that they are designed around the OEM hood bracing. This gives the car an OEM plus look while maintaining the rigidity of the hood. We are now pleased to announce that we are releasing a Five Panel vent set up for the NA Miata chassis.

Why vent your hood?
The cooling system in all water cooled cars work by pumping coolant through the engine to absorb heat, then pumping the hot coolant through your radiator to cool the hot coolant before pumping it back into the hot engine. The radiator cools the coolant by letting air from the front of the car pass through the radiator to absorb the heat and take it away. After the hot air passes through the radiator, it is trapped in the engine bay and has to find crevices to escape. This causes a high air pressure region under the hood and restricts the flow of air through your radiator.
There are many ways to optimize the efficiency of your radiator. Venting your hood greatly increases it by giving the hot air from the radiator an escape route up and over the top of the car. As an added bonus, venting the air up and over the car will create a slight increase in front end downforce. It isn't a big increase that you may not notice, but it is there.
The last reason on why to vent your hood... Let's face it, it looks really cool!

Pricing is in USD and include shipping within the lower 48 States and Canada. We can ship anywhere else in the world, email rtheorymotorsports@gmail.com for a shipping quote. If you prefer to pick up the vents locally to avoid the shipping cost, send us an email for pricing. Please note that the vents are shipped bare aluminum, so no paint or coating is included. For your convenience we can get them coated for an additional charge. Please email for a coating quotation. Rubber trim is included for an additional $10 if you are mounting the vents underneath the outer skin of the hood. All hardware for mounting and stencils for cutting the vents are included.
To join the group buy, you must leave a non-refundable $50US deposit via Paypal. The balance is to be paid once the vents have finished being manufactured. If you change your mind about participating in the group buy, you can transfer your deposit to another person. Last day to leave a deposit is Friday November 3rd 2017, manufacturing will be completed 1-2 weeks after that. Powder coat adds around an additional week to the lead time.
